FAQ's
Are there any additional charges that BeGig takes apart from the quoted rates?
Yes, there’s a 12 percent platform fee that we charge for the services we render to our clients. This charge is only applicable if you decide to hire a resource from our platform.
What happens if I’m not happy with the selected expert?
After signing SoW with a freelancer, a company has 7 working days to inform BeGig that they are not satisfied with the freelancer’s work, in writing. It is after this notification that BeGig takes around 48 hours to share another set of relevant profiles with you to choose from. This would be a free replacement offered by BeGig.
Type of SoW I can sign with a freelancer?
As an employer, you can either hire a freelancer on hourly basis or outcome basis. This depends on the complexity of your project(s).
Where are your experts located?
Currently, all of our experts are located in India.
Where do your techpreneurs work?
Most of our techpreneurs work remotely.
Can I bring an expert on-site?
Most of our techpreneurs work remotely. However, if required and agreed by both parties, the expert can go on-site.
If there isn’t any in-network resource currently available to fulfil the requirements of my request, how will BeGig help me?
In such cases, BeGig would need 48 hours to source out profiles and share with you.
Can I convert my resource into a full-time employee?
Yes. However, BeGig charges a 8.5% rate on the total annual compensation of the freelancer that you wish to bring onboard as a full-time employee.
How do we ensure that our IP is protected?
BeGig, by virtue of its services, doesn’t have access to anyone’s IP. On the other hand, by signing the right Agreements/ contract with the freelancer, you can further protect your IP.
How often will I be charged? How are payments and invoices handled?
You will be charged upon completion of milestones and upon mutually agreed payment terms between you, the employer and the freelancer. Payments will have to be done through the platform within 15 working days from when the invoice is raised.
Are projects done in the BeGig environment?
No, BeGig only facilitates collaboration. The work needs to be done under a virtual environment provided by the employer to its freelancer(s).
Does BeGig get to know about the work done by its experts for the experts’ employers?
No, BeGig does not have any access to the work that experts do for their employers.
